Easy Pancakes

MAKES: 6 pancakes



  • 2C Casalare 'Yourself' Raising Flour

  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten

  • 1C full cream milk, room temperature (plus extra to adjust thickness)

  • 3-4 Tbsp butter

  • 3 Tbsp sugar (fine raw sugar or caster sugar)

  • 1tsp vanilla extract

  • Spiral Organic Peanut Butter, Spiral Organic Maple Syrup, fruit jam


  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk Casalare yourself-raising flour and sugar, make a well in the centre.

  2. Add beaten eggs, 1C milk and vanilla in the centre. Whisk with the flour until combined.

  3. Gradually add the extra 1/4C milk to adjust the thickness if needed and mix well to smooth.

  4. Heat a non-stick frying pan (18cm in diameter) over medium heat. Grease the pan with 1tsp butter, ladle the batter, spreading it quickly into a circle.

  5. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the bubbles appear on surface.

  6. Flip it gently with a spatula and cook the other side for further 1 minute until cooked through.

  7. Transfer to the plate, cover with wrap or tin foil to keep warm and repeat the remaining batter.

  8. Serve with Spiral organic maple syrup and butter or spread Spiral organic peanut butter or jam.
