MACARONI
CHEESE

INGREDIENTS 

250g Casalare Macaroni Twist

1 Onion, finely diced 

150g button mushrooms, thinly sliced 

2 tsp Mustard 

4 tbsp Butter 

4 tbsp Casalare Plain Flour

700ml Milk 

½C Grated Cheddar Cheese 

¼C Grated Parmesan Cheese 

Salt and Pepper

DIRECTIONS 

  1. In a large pot (5 litres or more), boil 3-4 litres water and cook pasta as per directions. Rinse with warm running water and drain. 
     

  2. In a saucepan melt butter over medium heat, add onion and cook until transparent. Add mushrooms and cook. Add flour and stir through, gradually pour milk in while continually stirring until becomes thick. Add mustard and stir through. Add the pasta and mix through. Add both cheeses and mix through til well combined. 
     

  3. Serve and enjoy!
