OUR STORY
Casalare commenced as a tourist retail store in 1988
and has grown to a complete manufacturing facility situated in North Central
Victoria, an easy 2 hour drive from Melbourne.
Owners Barry and Nancy Hewitt's dedication has inspired and challenged their
team to create products that receive wide acclaim. “Our aim has been to develop
gluten-free pasta that tastes as near as possible to traditional pasta” says
Barry. “I believe we have achieved this and we are always looking to new
innovative products to keep our customers happy”.
The relocation and expansion in March 2005 to Kyabram, Victoria, has been
instrumental in Barry and his wife Nancy’s determination to succeed. With the
market becoming tougher due to imported pasta saturating the industry, Casalare
have positioned themselves well through organized stream-lined systems that
incorporate quality and regulatory controls.
Their message is that
by supporting Australian manufacturers and workers, consumers will benefit from
new and exciting options not on offer through main-stream pasta producers.
